This is a newly tooled 1/72 scale model of the US Patrol Torpedo Boat PT-109 – Revell 05147. Probably the most well-known PT Boat of World War II, the PT-109 was directed by Lieutenant (later US President) John F. Kennedy when it collided with the Japanese destroyer Amagiri on the night of Aug 2nd, 1943. The kit contains 146 parts and the finished model is 341 mm long.
