This is a beautifully detailed model made by the highly regarded maker Carlo Marquardt has been long out of production. A liner with an elegant profile built by Cantieri Riuniti dell’Adriatico at Trieste and completed in 1966 for Costa’s service from Genoa to South America. She was 32,753 gross tons, twin screws with steam turbines, speed 28 knots, accommodation for 214 1st and 1,445 Tourist Class passengers. From 1977 she was used for cruising, following a major refit in 1987 she was renamed Eugenio Costa. Sold in 1996 and laid up at Genoa, after several changes of name and owner she was broken up at Alang in 2005.

Model is in fair used condition some paint around the bow will need some touch up work, see the images, we have cleaned it as this collection was poorly stored by the previous owner. Approx. 178mm long or 7”
