‘Bargee’ Legends Chalkware Head Made in England

This wall head is marked Bargee, Made in England the back has the wire loop used by Legend Products. This piece is one of the better detailed masks made by Legend it was designed by Fred Wright, who worked for Bossons (Legend competitors) for many years. This piece is most likely from 1983. There were two versions of Bargee. One has a clay pipe and the other doesn’t. This piece is in good condition for its age and the fact that it is chalkware or gypsum plaster its easily chipped. The details are so fascinating – the teeth, hair, skin with pores and stubble, etc. The piece measures about 6” long. See all the images.
